Woman cut from her car
A KENDAL woman has been cut free from her car after it landed on its roof in a collision on a South Lakeland road.
Fire fighters, from Milnthorpe and Arnside, used hydrolic cutting equipment to cut the 22-year-old free from the wreckage of her Peugeot car after it collided with a silver Nissan Qashqai. She was taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries.
The 45-year-old male driver of the Nissan was uninjured by the crash on the A6070 at Holme Park Quarry, Burton-in-Kendal.

The Gazette is a fine newspaper but I have noticed standards fall over the years in the areas of spelling and grammar. The article about the crash at Burton prompted me by the inclusion of 'hydrolic.' Are proof readers a thing of the past or have their standards fallen too?

You are quite right, Mr Dobson, it should have read 'hydraulic'. Thank you for pointing this out.
