Kendal Rotary responds to crises in China and Burma
Kendal Rotary Club has responded to the humanitarian crises in Burma and China by organising a collection outside Marks & Spencer in Kendal on Friday (May 23).
The collection will support ShelterBox, a UK charity which sends out survival equipment to disaster areas.
Boxes contain equipment for ten people, including tent, blankets, water purification, toolkit and cooking equipment.
A team of volunteers ensure that the boxes get to where help is needed most. Each box costs £490.
