Racing - Spinner's turn arrives......
REPUTATION counts for a lot in finding winners and trainers don't like losing face - they are as vain as the rest of us.
So Tony Martin's LEG SPINNER is the one to be on at Haydock today.
Martin is known for having top National Hunt handicaps at his mercy, but he came up short at the Cheltenham Festival in March - he must want to get back one on the bookies in Haydock's Totepool Swinton Handicap Hurdle.
Leg Spinner won the Cesarewitch on the flat, so is a stayer par excelence, and has Ruby Walsh on board and racing conditions in his favour - hard to oppose.
Godolphin trainer Seed bin Suroor took a bruising in the press when Ibn Khaldun ran a shocker in the 2,000 Guineas.
He could be fighting for his job if the winners don't start coming fast which is why I take CAMPANOLOGIST in Lingfield's Derby Trial (3.10) and AL SHEMALI (2.10) to do the business.
KING OF DIXIE has trotted up twice on the all-weather and though up 5lb is a Kingmambo colt who was an eye-catcher last season, a real good looker.
His progressive profile can be confirmed against exposed handicappers in Ascot's Victoria Cup (2.20).
